August's Third-Generation Smart Lock Does Lots of Things

August just came out with their new third-generation smart lock. If you don’t know what August is, it is a company that makes smart door locks. There are not so many new things from the last one. But there are still some new things. First of all, it comes with a DoorSense door sensor. This sensor is so you can see if your door is not just locked or unlocked, but now if it is open or closed. Not many door locks have this. You can also unlock and lock your door from your Amazon Echo or Google Home. But they do not support Apple HomeKit. So all you iPhone fans out there, you need to stick with app. There are also bad things about this lock. One is that the lock is very noisy. Also, the lock doesn’t work with Z-Wave. I would rate the August third-generation smart lock an 8 out of 10. Can’t wait to see what August makes next!
