There are even cars like the Volkswagen ID.4, which is a nice step into the EV world. Also, there are cars like the Ford Mustang Mach-E, which bring power into the EV game. There are so many cars to choose from these days, that you can even get a truck, like the F-150 Lightning from Ford or the Rivian R1T. So, which car are you going to choose to help save the planet. Oh, and did I mention, you can even save $12,000 on gas over the span of 5 years.

By: Adam Scheck When choosing which system to use to binge watch your Netflix shows, your favorite YouTubers, and much more, you want to have a good streaming device to watch it on. There are many different options, some which are popular are the Roku and the Chromecast with Google TV. They both have different pros and cons, but it all comes down to what you want with your streaming device. A Roku has all the apps you need, and some even stream at 4K HDR. In the other side, the Chromecast has lots of apps and it runs a new software called Google TV (previously known as Android TV). Google TV has lots of the same apps, but it also has amazing integration with Google Home. This integration allows you to control your smart home by speaking into your remote to switch the lights, change the thermostat, lock your doors, and so much more. In my experience using both in the past, I currently use a Chromecast with Google TV because of its integration with Google Home, the new software, and the amount of apps it uses. Pricewise, the Chromecast with Google TV goes for $49.99 while the Roku goes from $25 up to $70, depending on which one you choose. So before you go and spend all your money on an Apple TV, take into consideration your other options because they aren't all bad. By: Adam Scheck Communicating can be challenging during hard times, but there are lots of programs to make it easier. These programs can be used for business, school, family, and other ways. First, there is Zoom. Zoom is a cross-platform communication program. Zoom is able to make breakout rooms, you can join on a phone call, and a meeting scheduler. Zoom has a maximum of 100 meeting participants (for the free plan). The downside of Zoom is that it has a 40 minute maximum time for the free plan. There are also options like Google Meet. This platform works just about the same, but Zoom is better in my opinion. If you are planning for online work, school, or family events, I would use Zoom. By: Adam Scheck The Pro Display XDR from Apple came with the new Mac Pro. This computer is outstanding for video creators, editors, and more. But, the Mac Pro starts at $5,999 and can go all the way up to $54,000. So, you are able to just buy the display that is for the Mac Pro, but it isn’t cheap either. The Pro Display XDR is a 32-inch IPS LCD display. It is outstanding for people in the design or video industry, but not much more. This display is not meant for everyday usage, but it can be used for that as well. It comes in two different models, a Standard glass model and a Nano-texture glass model. The Standard glass model starts at $5999 and the Nano-texture glass model starts at $6999. The stands for the monitors are not included. The Pro Stand is an extra $1000, or you can buy your own stand and just get the VESA mount adapter, worth $199. The Pro Stand is able to turn and become a vertical screen. The monitor has USB-C ports and Thunderbolt 3 ports. In my opinion, you should only get the Pro Display XDR if you are a professional in the design or video industry. Otherwise, you could probably find a better, cheaper alternative. By: Adam Scheck Amazon released a new product in their Alexa voice assistant family. This new product brings Alexa into your car. The Echo Auto sits in your A/C vent and acts just like an Echo in your house. This device can do most of the things that your Alexa at home can do, like set reminders, add to shopping lists, and much more! The device must be connected to your stereo either through bluetooth or with an AUX cable. This device takes your attention off of other things while driving, so you can keep your eyes on the road. Calling is available on the Echo Auto. The Amazon Echo Auto costs $49.99. This price isn’t bad for the quality that it is. It has 8 microphones so the Echo Auto can hear anyone in the car, even over the music playing. This smart assistant is helpful if you tend to use your phone while driving a lot. First of all, it has a huge 13inch display. It also has 8GB of RAM, which can be upgraded to 16GB. It is running Windows 10 Home, and is able to run off of a LTE signal. This means that you can pay for service on the Surface Pro X, and take it anywhere for use. It also has Windows Hello, which means that you can unlock it with only your face. There is only one color, Matte Black. It also has about 13 hours of typical battery life. For connections, it has two USB-C ports. Lastly, is has a very sleek look with an edge-to-edge screen. The Microsoft Surface Pro X starts at $899, and can still be upgraded. All in all, this is a great device for working on the go. By: Adam Scheck At WWDC 2019, Apple brought out the Mac Pro, a next generation for the one released in 2017. To start with, the processor in the Mac Pro is the Intel Xeon W at 3.5GHz with 8 cores that can go up to 28 cores. Also you can add up to 1.5TB of Memory that starts at 32GB. As well, the Graphics start with an AMD Radeon Pro 580X and there are also many other options. On top of that, you can get up to 4TB SSD on storage and that also starts at 256GB. Lastly, the Apple Mac Pro starts at $5,999. In my opinion, the Mac Pro is mostly for professionals that need very good graphics on their computer. Also, I believe that not a lot of people will purchase the Mac Pro because of its price. By: Adam Scheck In July of 2019, Sony announced their new noise-cancelling, wireless headphones, WF-1000XM3. These headphones are the response to Apple’s AirPods, Samsung’s Galaxy Buds, and much more. For starters, the battery can last 6hrs of continuous playback time with noise-cancelling on. Also, it takes approximately 1.5 hrs to fully charge the earbuds. One bad thing about the earbuds is that they do not charge wirelessly. There are two buttons on the WF-1000XM3, the one one the left headset is for switching on and off the noise-cancelling. Also, the button on the right earbud was to play/pause music and to answer calls. The WF-1000XM3 come in the colors Silver and Black. They start at $229.99. I believe that these earbuds are for taking calls and for flights because of the noise-cancelling. By: Adam Scheck Samsung announced the Galaxy Book2 with many great features. To start off, the Galaxy Book2 has a 12” AMOLED display. Also, you can also always stay connected with gigabit LTE compatibility with AT&T, Verison, and Sprint. There is also an S Pen and keyboard included and a 20 hrs battery. Lastly, there is an 8MP Rear-facing camera and a 5MP front-facing camera. The Samsung Galaxy Book2 starts off at $999.99. In my opinion, the Galaxy Book2 is very good for a computer and tablet all-in-one for on the go work. Also, this is good for a nice computer. By: Zac Wiseman In May of 2019, Google released the Pixel 3a. First off, the Google Pixel 3a has a 5.6-inch display on the 3a and a 6.0-inch on the 3a XL. Also, the Pixel 3a has an amazing 12.2MP dual-pixel rear camera and a 8MP camera in the front. With that camera, there is autofocus with dual-pixel phase protection. The Pixel 3a has a 3000 mAh battery and the 3a XL has a 3700 mAh battery. Lastly, the Pixel 3a starts at $399 and comes in the colors Clearly White, Purple-ish, Just Black. In my opinion, the points that stand out is that the camera is amazing and the Pixel 3a has a great battery. |
